×The upgrades to Building G included the replacement and upgrades of 19 existing chemical hood stations and their support systems within all chemistry and biology laboratories at the College, as well as designing the electronic controls, and the exhaust air and supply system.
In addition to the design of a more sustainable and resilient system, the project called for the elimination and replacement of 26 dedicated 100% exhaust fan systems with six dedicated exhaust fans and two large combined exhaust fans. Using a specialized control system, this solution will provide the facility with a sustainable and cost effective system by reducing the HVAC requirements.
