×This historic park from the 1930’s was designed and constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corp. For Phase II of this project GMPA completed the beautification of Miami Gardens Drive, reconfigured and added new ADA accessible parking, new sidewalks and walkways from the right-of-way to the interior of the park, new landscaping inside the park, new perimeter fencing, new corner feature with walls and new signage at the west side of Miami Gardens Drive, new entry feature at the west entrance, new ticket booths at both entrances (west and south/east entrances), restoration and repairs to the overlook steps and masonry wall at the east entrance, structural and masonry repairs to the incinerator, rehabilitation of the existing maintenance yard building, new wooden gates at the maintenance yard building, and remodeling of the restrooms in the golf course. The project was designed in accordance with the Secretary of Interior Standards for the Rehabilitation of Historic Structures.
