Sergio Bakas

Born in La Habana, Cuba, Sergio’s passion for architecture began early, sparked by a fascination with building and model-making, but it was a visit to an architect’s office during a Careers Day event that truly solidified his future in the profession. Sergio graduated from Tulane University with three degrees: Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Architecture, and a Master of Business Administration. He is a registered architect, LEED certified, and a member of the Construction Specifications Institute.

Throughout his career, Sergio has contributed to several large-scale and internationally recognized projects, including the American Airlines Arena in Miami, the Miami Federal Courthouse, several convention center hotels and casinos, the Disney Hollywood Hotel in Hong Kong, and the Bank of Luxembourg in Europe.

Outside of work, Sergio enjoys tending to his backyard orchids, experimenting in the kitchen, and watching classic films.
