GURRI NAMED 2020 AIA MIAMI ARCHITECT OF THE YEAR

The Founder and Principal of Gurrimatute, Daphne I. Gurri, AIA, RID, LEED AP, was selected as the 2020 Architect of the Year by the American Institute of Architects Miami Chapter.

Daphne Gurri is a registered Architect, Interior Designer, and LEED Accredited Professional with over 30 years of experience. Inspired by the architect’s ability to influence the built world, Ms. Gurri has dedicated her professional life to architecture and design. She’s a passionate overachiever, fiercely determined to rise above her competition. She leads the firm with a level of ambition that can best be described as fearless.

Ms. Gurri is committed to teaching and showing young girls that they can excel inside and out of the workplace by promoting the opportunities of STEM-careers and serving as a role model for aspiring architects and engineers. In addition, she is the past/post President of the Society of American Military Engineers’ Miami chapter and served as the President of the American Institute of Architects’ Miami chapter in 2020.
