From the start of his career, Virgil Campaneria has been making the seemingly impossible, possible. As a United States Air Force Para rescue member, his sole goal was to rescue, recover and return those in danger or harm’s way. Virgil’s ability to deal with difficult situations and complete unimaginable projects is just part of the reason for his success as an architect for the past 25 years. As Gurri Matute’s Healthcare Principal, he is leading the company’s expanding role as a firm that provides healthcare professionals with the best spaces and environment to assist and promote healing and well-being. Whether it’s simply an ADA compliant toilet, first ever equipment installations or a 235,760 square-foot addition to an entire hospital emergency room, Virgil is continuously raising the bar in the healthcare industry and accomplishing impossible missions. Virgil holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Miami and he is Certified to practice Architecture and Interior Design in the State of Florida. When he’s not solving complex architecture projects, he’s passionate about passing on his knowledge by mentoring young professionals, spending time with his wife and kids, camping, hiking, kayaking or enjoying high energy sports like sky diving, mountain climbing and scuba diving.
