Historic Preservation

Historical Preservation projects are essential in every community. They serve to capture a moment in time and help us to explore spaces that were lived in generations ago. Our work on these projects allowed us to take deteriorating, neglected, and sometimes abandoned buildings and structures that hold great cultural significance and restore them to their former glory. Throughout Miami, we have completed numerous preservation projects on estates such as Thalatta Estate, establishments such as the Café Demetrio, and residences such as the Ward rooming house. Our most notable project in this division is the Historic Hampton House Motel, which was a celebrated venue for African-American artists, musicians and public figures in the 1950s and 1960s. Not only were the musical greats of the era regular guests at the Hampton House, but also international personages like Dr. Martin Luther King and Muhammad Ali stayed there.

Our background and knowledge in this area allows us to provide historical preservation services such as:
  • Restoration
  • Adaptive Reuse
  • Rehabilitation
  • Structural Stabilization
